Salesperson and Broker Courses ~ Given the Indiana requirement for pre-license education at 54 hours of classroom instruction, we have found that offering classes covering a 9 week time period (with two meetings per week in the evening) or
a 6 week time period (with three meetings per week) to be the most effective and convenient schedule.

Our complete and comprehensive courses not only prepare one to pass the state examination but likewise provide the knowledge and skills needed to enter the real estate business or to operate proficiently as a real estate broker.

Subject Content of the 54 hour Salesperson Course
Real Estate Concepts  Property Ownership Form  Transfer of Title
Land Use Controls  Brokerage and Agency Law  Fair Housing Law
Real Estate Contracts  Landlord and Tenant  Financing
Closing Transactions  Valuation and Appraisal  Property Management
Property Insurance  Taxation of Real Property  Indiana License Law

Subject Content of the 54 hour Broker Course
Essentially, most of the subject topics of the Broker course are those covered in the Salesperson course. However, the Broker course consists of a much more "in-depth" level of instruction in each of those areas. Particular emphasis is placed on:
 Antitrust Laws  Settlement Procedures
Types of Mortgage Loans  Sources of Mortgage Loans
 Finance Mathematics  Brokerage Operations
 Secondary Mortgage Market  Consumer Legislation

Escrow Account Records and Bookkeeping Essentials

State License Examination

Upon successfully completing a Sales or Broker course, the candidate is eligible to take the state examination. This examination is administered by Promissor with test centers located in various Indiana cities for convenient test taking. Examinations are offered daily; Tuesday through Saturday. Two (2) sessions of testing are available daily, one at 8:00 A.M., the other at 1:00 P.M. allowing 3 and 1/2 hours to take the examination. An applicant must attain a score of at least 75% on the State License Law portion and at least a 75% score on the general real estate portion of the test to pass. Scores achieved on the test are provided to the candidates before leaving the testing center. The fee for the examination is $59.00.
